2025 edition: wild cards revealed

Discover the list of players who have received a wild card for the 2025 edition of the Rolex Paris Masters.
From October 25 to November 2, the season’s final Masters 1000 event will make its debut at Paris La Defense Arena. In this brand-new venue, the world’s biggest stars will aim to shine as they fine-tune their preparations for the ATP Finals in Turin, and perhaps lift the famous Arbre de Fanti at the end of the week. It’s also the perfect opportunity for French fans to support and celebrate their home players, who will be out in force across all draws. Following a proposal by the French Tennis Federation President Gilles Moretton and the Rolex Paris Masters Tournament Director Cédric Pioline, eight of the nine available wild cards - eight for men’s singles (main draw and qualifying) and one for wheelchair tennis - have been awarded to French players.
Vacherot – Rinderknech: a new family saga in Paris?
Less than two weeks after shaking up the hierarchy to share the biggest adventure of their careers, cousins Valentin Vacherot and Arthur Rinderknech received the news they were hoping for: both have been granted wild cards into the main draw of the Rolex Paris Masters. It’s a fitting reward for the champion and runner-up of the Shanghai Masters 1000, whose fairy-tale run may well see another chapter written on the courts of Europe’s largest indoor arena.
Alongside “Rinder" - recently selected by Paul-Henri Mathieu to represent France in the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna - two other French players have also received main draw invitations: Arthur Cazaux (fresh off his Challenger title in Jinan) and Terence Atmane, who turned heads this summer by reaching the Cincinnati semifinals and taking a set off Jannik Sinner in Beijing.
Main draw wild cards (October 27 – November 2):
Terence Atmane (FRA) / Age: 23 / ATP ranking (20th October): No.68 / Appearances in the Rolex Paris Masters: none
Arthur Cazaux (FRA) / Age: 23 / ATP ranking (20th October): No.61 / Appearances in the Rolex Paris Masters: 1 / Best performance: round of 16 in 2024
Arthur Rinderknech (FRA) / Age: 30 / ATP ranking (20th October): No.27 / Appearances in the Rolex Paris Masters: 3 / Best performance: round of 16 in 2024
Valentin Vacherot (MON) / Age: 26 / ATP ranking (20th October): No.39 / Appearances in the Rolex Paris Masters: none
These four join their compatriots Ugo Humbert, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Corentin Moutet, Alexandre Müller and Benjamin Bonzi, who are already confirmed in the main draw.

Blue skies in qualifying rounds
After an impressive US Open run that saw him reach the third round as a qualifier, Ugo Blanchet will look to repeat the feat at Paris La Defense Arena. Hugo Gaston, finalist at the Roanne Challenger this weekend, will also be eager to rediscover his best tennis on home soil, while Kyrian Jacquet, fresh off his Shenzhen Challenger title, will return to Paris after his eye-catching Roland-Garros appearance earlier this year.
Currently playing doubles alongside longtime partner Nicolas Mahut in Basel, Pierre-Hugues Herbert will be competing solo in the qualifying draw of this 40th Rolex Paris Masters edition.
Qualifying wild cards (October 25–26):
Ugo Blanchet (FRA) / Age: 26 / ATP ranking (20th October): No.146 / Appearances in the Rolex Paris Masters: none
Hugo Gaston (FRA) / Age: 25 / ATP ranking (20th October): No.113 / Appearances in the Rolex Paris Masters: 2 / Best performance: quarter-finalist in 2021
Pierre-Hugues Herbert (FRA) / Age: 34 / ATP ranking (20th October): No.142 / Appearances in the Rolex Paris Masters: 8 / Best performance: second round in 2013 and 2020
Kyrian Jacquet (FRA) / Age: 24 / ATP ranking (20th October): No.151 / Appearances in the Rolex Paris Masters: none
These four will join fellow Frenchmen Adrian Mannarino, Quentin Halys, and Valentin Royer in the qualifying rounds.
Cattaneo joins Houdet
Beyond the change of venue, another major addition to this 40th edition is the introduction of wheelchair tennis events (singles and doubles) during the tournament’s final weekend, from Friday, October 31 to Sunday, November 2.
Classified directly thanks to his ranking, Stéphane Houdet will be joined by Frédéric Cattaneo, who has been awarded a wild card as the eighth player in what promises to be a thrilling competition.
Wheelchair tennis wild card (October 31 – November 2):
Frédéric Cattaneo (FRA) / Age: 46 / ITF ranking (20th October): No. 23
